Command Voices is the title of an ongoing body of work for multiple instruments, that conceptually explores the relationships between a psychotic patient and their auditory hallucinations. Each iteration of the work is different because each day a person with psychosis interacts with their hallucinations in a variety of ways. The iteration designed specifically for AiOP 2017 explores the softer side of noise; that of the chaos bubbling underneath the surface of our public faces, and how these internalized entities/objects intersect and exist as a part of our overall experience of reality.
