What You Missed is a project in numbered public signage “reminding” viewers of things they never actually experienced. Passersby are directed to be of events or people just out of sight, around corners, or only briefly visible in the recent past.
Seth Ellis’s work is about finding new ways to tell stories—by making them site-specific, by creating them with randomizing programs, by asking other people living and dead for input. He is interested in active, experiential reading. Ellis is Assistant Professor in the School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan. His work has shown nationally and internationally, in galleries, festivals and symposia.sethsellis.com
