An interactive public artwork, people passing by on the street will be invited to create a small work of art by pinning three different buttons on themselves. After arranging the words ART (ИСКУССТВО) CREATES ( СОЗДАЕТ) LIFE (ЖИЗНЬ) in any way they like, Linda Hesh will photograph her new collaborators for an online gallery. Participants keep the buttons as a reminder of how art affects their life and to continue the piece out into the public sphere.
Linda Hesh combines the personal and political, playing with taboos and challenging social norms. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she lived in New York City for a while before landing in Alexandria, Virginia.
