In 2013, Cityscape Artist, DeMarcus Purham established Artist in a Box – a unique art performance. The performance showcased Purham inside a 4 by 3 feet plexiglass box, creating detailed cityscapes on each glass panel with Acrylic paint markers. Since then, Purham has created a new segment within Artist in a Box called UVscapes. This segment explores color tones within cityscapes using Ultraviolet light and Fluorescent paint markers. UVscapes is familiar, but yet new to viewers – displaying passion, creativity and ingenuity.

DeMarcus Purham, a 29 year old Cityscape Artist from Chicago specializing in creating detailed cityscapes with a variety of mediums, is a performance artist. Purham discovered his passion for art as a teenager in Gallery 37 Chicago apprenticeship program.
